The day tour begins with a short flight from Cusco to Puerto Maldonado followed by a motorboat transfer along the Madre de Dios River into the Tambopata National Reserve, where a naturalist guide leads a walk through primary rainforest, pointing out wildlife, medicinal plants and the ecological systems that make this one of the most biodiverse places on earth.<\/p>
